Russell W. Strong, the originator and development driver of the Jake Soldier/Robotics platform brings over 30 years of engineering, product design, manufacturing and program management experience to 3D Agile Inc. A '72 Tau Beta Pi Engineering grad of the University of Idaho, Mr. Strong holds his PE in Mechanical Engineering. Heading R&D for rotary combine development for 6 years in Belgium and studies at the Brugge Academy of Art uniquely led Mr. Strong into automotive design, to his distinctive format of team-based concept development and prototyping, later to lead Ford New Holland’s next generation of styling, mentored by Ford design head, John Little. On founding Integrated Vision, Integrated Vision was awarded the worldwide contract for Industrial Design for merging FIAT and Ford New Holland into the brand of New Holland Global. Client work expanded into major programs at Caterpillar, John Deere, CNH Global, and Fiat-Hitachi, among others. Holder of over 50 patents, Mr. Strong provided concept development, vehicle design, ergonomics and team management to over 40 successful and industry-leading programs. Mr. Strong is affectionately titled the “Industrializer” by Italian executives, due to command of both engineering and styling and his ability to draw on a dynamic network of resources for rapid movement of programs from concept to production. Winner of the 2002 BusinessWeek/ IDSA Gold Medal for Vehicle Design, Mr. Strong is a member of IDSA and Society of Automotive Engineers.

Director of Defense Technology and Systems Integration
Robert W. Boyd brings over thirty years experience in technology integration, computer simulation, software development and management. As Business Development Manager for L3 Communications RCCS, Mr. Boyd was responsible for vehicle-integrated electronic systems, IETMs, Vetronics, and displays for networked communication and diagnostics systems for defense contractors including Oshkosh Truck, AM General and Stewart & Stevenson. This continued prior work for Northrop Grumman and Litton Industries in management of software development of the Electronic Maintenance System (EMS) and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) that serve TACOM and major OEMs. Earlier, Mr. Boyd was Asst. V.P. and Director of Software for SAIC’s Systems & Technology Product Sector, following a period as Program Manager for the B-1B Technical Support Center for the U.S. Air Force. Earlier work included Program Manager for the move and upgrade of the National Training Center Instrumentation System (NTC-IS) for the U.S. Army. As a manager for CACI, Inc., Mr. Boyd participated in the design and implementation of the theater-level tactical air combat simulation for HQ USAF Studies and Analysis.
Mr. Boyd was a commissioned officer in the Air Force with work as a computational plasma physicist and chief of the Theoretical Section for simulation of nuclear weapons effects. As a Major, he served in the office of the Asst. Chief of Staff for Studies and Analysis, and later at the Tactical Fighter Weapons Center, Studies, Analysis and Gaming Directorate, in the Tactical Air Command, responsible for model development and for studies supporting tactical force structure and weapons systems effectiveness. Mr. Boyd received his B.S., Engineering Physics from Oregon State University in 1970 and M.S., Engineering Physics at the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1972.

Brigadier General (PA) Bill Colvin, US Army National Guard (retired), brings extensive and high-level "inside the beltway" and international experience. As a troop leader, General Colvin commanded through the battalion level, serving on staffs at battalion, division and State Area Commands. He served in the Pentagon on the National Guard Bureau Staff and later with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1998 to 1999, General Colvin led the US Military Liaison Team in Vilnius, Lithuania in anticipation of Lithuania's entry into NATO, serving as principal military liaison between the US European Command, the US Embassy, and the Minister of Defense and Commanding General of Lithuanian Forces. A career National Guard Officer, General Colvin is also an expert on the role of Reserve forces in domestic emergencies and in support of civil authorities within homeland security. General Colvin's expertise extends to the operation of emergency management staffs at the local through state staff levels, including emergency operations centers. General Colvin is also a professional trainer with more than 30 years of educator experience. He taught leadership and basic officer courses at the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Academy, its Officer Candidate School, and served as Chief of Tactics for over 20 years. As the Pennsylvania National Guard's Chief of Training, he planned for implementation of the JANUS simulation system. General Colvin retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 2001.
General Colvin received his B.A., in History from The College of Wooster, with M.A., International Affairs from Salve Regina University. He is a graduate of National Security Policy, US Army War College and from the US Army Command and General Staff College. He received his commission from the Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Benning, Georgia where he is honored as a Member of the OCS Hall of Fame

Senior Master Sergeant Bill Hancy, United States Air Force (retired), brings over 30-years experience in organization development, training and management to the team. He is the principal at Hancy Consulting, an efficiency and ideation consulting firm. Mr. Hancy served 23 years as a signals collector and analyst, chief of training, and executive officer, performing a sundry of duties and missions in support of the war fighter. Upon retiring from the Air Force, he consulted to Federal Government agencies, Department of Defense, public school systems, and software development companies as a systems requirements analyst and organization development consultant. Mr. Hancy’s expertise is managing and guiding individuals, organizations, and communities through change. He has a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from American University/National Training Laboratories and a Graduate Certificate in Managing Change from Johns Hopkins University. He holds certifications as a Future Search Network facilitator and GroupSystems ThinkTank™ facilitator. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Champlain College in the Business Division’s MBA program.

Robert Phelps has 25 years experience in purchasing and project management within the automotive/agriculture vehicle development and tooling arena, with key work for Crucam, Roush Industries and Decoma. Mr. Phelps brings strengths in negotiation, sourcing, pricing, and quality, with extensive experience in high speed, high content, programs and skills that support conceptualization, design, prototyping, tooling and production. His background includes Bill of Material management, and proactively working with suppliers to secure optimum timing. Knowledge of sources and tooling for plastic parts, castings, stampings, electrical products, special fasteners, fabrics, and etc is the result of having worked with well over a thousand suppliers over the years.
